CEDAR BEACH SALT SHACK 28 JULY 2022

A new summer, new Volleyball games to watch.  We are back at Cedar Beach in the Town of Babylon ( Google Map ) to watch the kids' Volleyball games which are becoming a summertime tradition.   The first stop, of course, is the Salt Shack (Fig 01) for a quick meal beachside (Fig 02), including Calamari (Fig 03), a Caesar salad (Fig 04), a buffalo chicken wrap (Fig 05), and drinks shared between the two of us.  Following dinner, it was game time on the beach (Fig 06) with a multitude of courts (Fig 07).  Overall, a fantastic Thursday night on Long Island.  #cedarbeachbabylon #saltshackny FIG 01 - SALT SHACK UPPER DECK BANDSTAND 28 JULY 2022 FIG 02 - SALT SHACK BEACH DINING 28 JULY 2022 FIG 03 - SALT SHACK CALAMARI 28 JULY 2022 FIG 04 - SALT SHACK CAESAR SALAD 28 JULY 2022 FIG 05 - SALT SHACK BUFFALO CHICKEN WRAP 28 JULY 2022 FIG 06 - CEDAR BEACH VOLLEYBALL 28 JULY 2022 FIG 07 - CEDAR BEACH VOLLEYBALL CLIP 28 JULY 2022

Salt Shack at Cedar Beach Babylon 27 July 2021

The salt shack is a seaside beach restaurant with outstanding views, live entertainment, and excellent food.   Most beach restaurants serve up greasy overpriced hamburgers and the like, but Salt Shack is a welcome exception.   The menu offers up all the traditional beach food and then some.   Salt Shack also includes a good selection for kids and platters to share at a table.   The drink and cocktail list are long and quite good again at a fair price.   The event calendar is pack full of live music almost every day.   Parking is free after 5:00 PM (this is a town beach).   Today Jo had the Bacon cheeseburger and I, a large Grilled chicken Caesar Salad.   The cheeseburger arrived nestled on a soft bun and not the least bit soggy with lettuce, tomato.   The Grilled Chicken Caesar was a massive bowl of fresh, crisp romaine lettuce topped with a perfectly grilled whole chicken Breast.   The dressing was stock but rich, tangy, creamy, and very flavorful.   Drinks consisted of Margaritas

Cedar Beach & Volleyball 27 July 2021

My first visit to Cedar Beach In Babylon this week was fantastic and not our last.  The beach is open to all with free parking after 5:00 PM.  The "kids" were here for their volleyball game, and we tagged along to watch them play.  The beach is extensive with a long run down to the water and very clean.  The beach has all the traditional activities and over 60 Volleyball courts (we were at # 62 today).  There is an expansive restaurant called Salt Shack with reasonably priced seaside food, Cocktails, and live entertainment near the entrance to the beach. There will be a separate post just for the restaurant.  The beach is typical of one of the Long Islands' fine beaches and well worth the visit.  Even without a scheduled volleyball game, we will be returning for the sun, surf, and dinner.  CEDAR BEACH DUNE VIEW CEDAR BEACH OCEAN VIEW PART OF THE MIXED NUTS VOLLEY BALL TEAM AT CEDAR BEACH
