We were long
overdue for a field trip to enjoy one of the many free things on Long
Island. Today we took a trip out to West Hampton Beach Village Green Gazebo to see a free concert. This concert: is one in a series of about ten
free concerts hosted by the Westhampton Beach (WHB) cultural
consortium as part
of their 32nd annual Gazebo Concert Series. In the spirit of transparency and full
discloser, one of the reasons to attend this concert was to watch our son’s girlfriend
Noelle’s performance. The Sound Symphony was in fine form and entertained a large crowd for well over an hour; I
wish they could have played much longer.
As we have not been to WHB in quite some time, we arrive early and
stroll through the village before settling in at Salt
& Loft for a
pre-concert dinner. The meal was
outstanding and worthy of a separate blog posting very soon. Below are a few
pictures and clips of the beautiful music. The weather cooperated, and this was a fine
outing, as we look forward to many more.
