SPARHAWK OCEANFRONT RESORT JUN 2021
During our expedition to Maine, we
stayed at a beautiful place call Sparhawk Oceanfront Resort. The experience was that of a resort, but the
price was remarkably modest at about $200 a night for two nights. The rooms were all clean, fresh, and well-appointed
with all the standard amenities. The
rooms had sweeping panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean that are unrivaled. The team was sharp, clean, brisk, and very
helpful. Check-in and out process was
efficient and less than 5 minutes total. Continental breakfast, including plenty of
good coffee, pastries, bread, Hard boiled eggs, and cereals, is provided. An additional attraction is a Marginal Way, a seaside walkway starting
at Sparhawk and following the shoreline about 2 miles down to Perkins
Cove. Along the way are spectacular views
of the Maine coast, beaches, the Atlantic Ocean, and of course, on the land
side, restaurants, hotels, and shops to enjoy along the way. The walkway ends at Perkins cove with a
cluster of shops, lots of Lobster, restaurants, and a selection of harbor
cruises. The resort is a short walk to
the town center, replete with shops and restaurants. There are many more attractions to explore
within a short drive, but we ran out of time.
In summary, a wonderful place to stay and to return to each year.
